The Evil Bike
Whew!! I did not get a chance to exercise yesterday, but I made up for it today. I did my 20 miles on my exercise bike! Talk about it being rough since I had taken a little over a month off from doing it. I feel good though. I hope that everyone is getting out there and moving. It is a great feeling to make yourself healthier!

10 Miles of 365 Miles Completed
I managed to do 5 miles yesterday - 5 Miles with Leslie Sansone! It feels great to do that much! It is so easy to just get up and move. You just have to make yourself do it. I had back surgery when I was 27. I also have various medical issues to include PTSD and Fibromyalgia. I also believe I have RA but it cannot be confirmed with blood work so the doctors are trying to chalk it up to my other issues. For a long time, I felt that I was not capable of getting a decent workout. Last year, I stood on a scale and just wanted to cry. I could not believe how much I weighed. I decided that it was time to take charge of my life.
I bought an exercise bike. When I first started, I think I did two miles and wanted to die. It was so hard. For the first 6 months, I did about 30 minutes a day and got up to about 10 miles. Sadly, I was not losing any weight at all. So I decided that I had to kick it up. I started doing 21 miles (20 hard miles and 1 cool off mile). It takes me just under an hour to finish. The weight started melting off. I lost 35 lbs. And even though I knew it was coming, I was hoping that I would lose more before it happened. My body got used to riding the bike and I stopped losing weight.
While my main goal is to be healthier, I must admit that I also want to lose more weight. I took a month off of exercising, which I never should have done. I was so happy when my friend invited me to the 365 days event. It brought my motivation back that I had lost. In three days, I have completed 10 miles of walking. I plan on rotating my exercises this time so that I can be in better shape. I will be doing my bike, the walking and The Step.
I am so excited that I have started this year out right and will lose the rest of the weight that I need to lose and I will be healthier for my children!

I was a little concerned about how I would feel today after doing three miles. I was very surprised when I woke up and was not in any pain for the walk. I want to attempt to do the five mile, but I am not sure if I will get a chance to do that one today or not. My daughter has cheer practice today and I am going to be busy with that and won't be able to exercise until later tonight.

Did not think I would be able to do it since I was still hurting from my two miles yesterday, but I walked three miles today, Three miles with Leslie Sansone. It was a great workout. I feel good and ready for more. I think I am going to have to do the five miles tomorrow!! I love making myself healthier!
A friend of mine, Carrie, invited me to a Facebook event - 365 miles in 365 Days. I started my weight loss/healthier me journey last year and have lost 35 lbs. I want to lose another 30 lbs and then maintain after that. Up to this point, I have been riding my bike and then recently started doing The Step. I am so excited to give this a try. For my very first workout, I did Two Miles with Leslie Sansone. It is a YouTube video and allows you to "walk" in the comfort of your own home. Although, I can't say I am too comfortable today. I am seriously hurting in places I did not even know existed. It is funny how I can do 20 miles on my bike and not feel the way I feel after two miles of walking. I am so excited to start this next portion of my health journey! Part of the event asks that I keep track of my miles, so I am going to do this blog every day. I hope you will join me on the blog and I hope you will join me and start a new you!
Here is a before and after picture from last year. I have come a long ways but I still have a long ways to go.
